I have a 16-MCH1300
RMS Power for the front channels : 4 ohm 75 x 4 / 2 ohm 115 x 4 / 4 ohm bridged mono 230 x 2
I'm using the sub channel @1100 watts with a 12" IDMAX in a sealed box in a 2004 Ford F150 Regular cab. I have a set of Polk MOMO 5x7 running off of 2 of the front channels. My problem is the sub drowns out the highs. So I want to get a set of components that will fit better with the IDMAX.
I need recommendations on how many watt comps to get and the best way to hook them to the amp. I know ID makes the chameleons in 2 ohm that would get me 115 to the comps. Any other brands that have 2 ohm comps?
I was also looking at cdt, boston pro60, diamond hex in 4 ohm. If I were to get 4 ohm speakers would I bridge channels 1+2 and 3+4 to get 230 x 2? I'm not real sure on that part. Do I plug one rca into the left front and one into the right front? Also what does that mean bridged mono? Will that not work for comps? I thought mono was only for subs. And I know that's too much power for most comps but would it be alright if I just turned down the gains.
I'm trying to stay around $300. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
