Memphis amp Problem

I have a Memphis PR 1000w class d amp. Its pushing 2 FI audio x series 12's. I have it wired to 1 ohm and and when i turn up the volume the "over current" light comes on. Then it will go off once the volume is lowered.

What does this mean and how can i fix it.

is the amp 1 ohm stable?

you have a pic of the over current light I didnt even know they had one but mabe its just I use Mclass amps cause of there efficiency

Why not contact Memphis Car Audio if you'd had it for less than 2 years so far? DMM the subs as well.

Take a volatage reading of your power wire at the amp terminal.

You might be suffering a voltage drop when you increase the output.

sounds like rich is right, it most likely is a voltage undercurrent protection circuit.
