Like the title says:

The situation is this. i can trade my memphis 4k for a Saz-2.5k + cash. i would run the memphis @ 1 ohm and the saz @ .5 ohm. i more worried about the amount of power then i am the cash honestly. im going to recone my sub regardless ofwhat amp i have to d1 or back to d2. i know both amps do rated. but power wise which would be the better option. to me the only + in the trade would be i would pretty much have the money to buy my recone but i would be decreasing power.

so looking for imput

Honestly man I had the 4k and I didn't like the way it sounded at all the bass just didn't sound right at all I tweaked the amp for a while to sundown just sounds better to me the sq they put out is great one thing I like is the subsonic on the sundown is a lot lower then the Memphis and I like to play stupid low **** lol

meh...... im not worried about sound quality. when competing spl/db's, its doesnt help. im just looking for pure power and scores on the meter

Yea 4k then if that's all u want for sure
as far as the subsonic filter goes i honestly never play below 37hz for what i listen to. but yea im looking for spl more then sq. it was just a thought because he offered it the trade and i didnt think it was a bad one just wanted some other opinions.

Yea decent trade on a quality sundown amp I would take sundown over Memphis any day bit were talking less power haha **** that's it 37hz that to me is getting a little high love playing down to 26hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im about to bring the tune up a bit just to test on meter to see if it gains any which it should seeing my truck resin freq and enclosure freq are so far apart(resin freq is 53hz). but im thinking about getting some aeros for daily only but idk.

There is no question if your wanting power 4k is the way.I have a memphis 4k too and i never had an issue with sq. People just think sundown is better because that's the wagon everyone is on. I wouldn't give up the power for a for a less power amp and a little bit of cash.

I've been peaking high my whole life //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif lol I ave hated not being abke to play anything below 38 Hz guess its just the preference a person likes I love lowsss but now that I have two 12's I have nothing but lows and the high end sounds like *** :/

Well I'm not bsndwagoning i have had the saz 3500 and the Memphis 4k and all I kno was my 3500 shitted all over the 4k on sq and power and overall loudness .not the same amps being compared but yea just saying sundown does make a much better product
