Memory Loss

My Dual car stereo always looses memory when the car is off, only when i put the key in the ignition and turn the switch on the stereo will turn on. Also, the only way the stereo works is if I have the red wires and the yellow wires together. I noticed that the car's yellow wire doesnt have current because the stereo will still turn on with the red wires and the stereo's yellow wire together.

I already checked all the car fuses, the stereo's fuses.

I dont know what else I can do.

Any help?

The reason it's losing memory is because the yellow wire is a +12v constant. If it's not giving the headunit power 24/7 it resets itself, and since the red wire is a turn on ignition wire, the headunit is only getting power when you turn the car on. Unplug the harness and check to see if the wire is in the right place, in the harness I got my ground wire was in the wrong spot. I pulled it out with some needle nose pliers and moved it over to the correct spot, and now it's working with no issues. If that doesn't solve anything, consider running a dedicated power wire to your battery's positive terminal, or if you have an amp in the back, just run a wire off of that.
