Memohis MC1000d Blowing fuses.. and subs

My buddy has this amp and it keeps acting up, and I dunno if this had something to do with his RE SX going up in smoke , but after that happened, I thought the RE just burnt the Leads , like they tend to do. SO I said no worries, and sent him my lvl 3s, The box he has was a single 12, so when he got my lvl 3s he hooked one up , down to 2 ohms ( 700 rms , amp is 1 ohm stable ) It played for about 5 seconds, then just shut off and the orange "faulty fuse" light came on.. I told him to disconnect the DCs, in case it was the amp sending a shit signal through or something so he didnt end up sending that one up in smoke too..

Any ideas?

When the first the first sub blew, its possible it shorted out the output section of the amp and caused an internal fault. If it keeps blowing fuses no matter how its wired or which sub you're using, the amp definitely needs repair. Check all power, ground and other wires just to make sure that isn't the issue. you can always keep putting bigger fuses in it till they quit blowing...or find the problem

I wasnt near the amp.. But It was bad, it kept popping test subs and blew fuses.. He ended up getting a hell of a deal on some new stuff at his shop tho, So I cant hate to much

Ended up getting a new JL 500/1 v2 and a loaded w3v3 in the HO wedge for $400
