Its getting a resleeve. I tried boring out my old 2 stroke and kept having overheating issues. Plus the scrapes in the cylinder wall are too deep to just bore it.Are u planning on resleeving or just boring it out?
If you are trying to say I blew my motor up and tried to say its my friends then you are wrong. I have been racing motocross for 4 years and riding freestyle for 2. If I blew my motor I wouldnt hide behind the keyboard blaming it on someone else, thats just lame.overheating issues? you did rejet it didn't you.
I do find it funny when people use they're "buddies" to make a post about a stupid mistake they made.
This is true. When I did the bore job on the RM125 it was when I first started out and did not know about the nikasil.Todays motocross bikes you cant just bore out easily like a bike with a cast iron liner. The cylinders are all coated with nikasil and in order to oversize you have to send it out and get it bored then replated. But it is better to get a replated cylinder than to put in a sleeve.
If it's overheating you should find the reason instead of covering it with additives. My bike never overheated no matter how hard I ran. Maybe the radiators gummed up.I was only kidding, but thats weird did you ever try water wetter or shimming you water pump?
The bike is long gone, this was 4 years ago. It was on its last leg anywho. If it's overheating you should find the reason instead of covering it with additives. My bike never overheated no matter how hard I ran. Maybe the radiators gummed up.
