medical marijuana card

It's funny that you mention about your friend being athletic and going down the drain. My personal trainer (the head trainer at my gym) smokes regularly. He also benches 415lb and weighs 160lb.
Imagine what he could do with healthy lungs/brain.

Lol funny you say that cuz guy I knew that benched 485 was a heavy marijuana smoker as well, used to have my dad store Ps at our house.

earl boykins used to play for denver is 5'5 139 and can bench 315D.C. Sports Bog - Earl Boykins bench presses more than you
Thats pretty **** impressive. my dad is 5'9" and weighed 145 and was benchin 260. I only bench 220 and I'm about the same size.

You got pics bro? That's kinda hard to believe he's only 160. That's my weight lol. I used to know a guy who benched 485 in my backyard, and he was about 5'10" and 240lbs, fairly low bmi, and arms were 19" iirc.
Really depends if he's cutting or bulking, when he competes he drops his weight down to high 140's (and his bench drops into the high 300's as a result), he weighs less than me too, granted he's only like 5'5

That and he's 29-30years old, aka around your peak muscle maturity. Granted he roided it up when he was ~22 so he's probably surfing off that still too

Short people can do a lot with little weight =P Also helps that he has super skinny legs because he cant put a lot of weight on his legs due to motorcycle accidents

Im no giant but I consider myself decently strong, not on his level at all though. Weigh 160-165 depending on the week and bench 250. Nothing to brag about though

Funny, michael phelps already came up. Think an olympic swimmer would do better with healthy lungs? Weed doesn't have nearly the same carcinogenic effects of tobacco, and if you really are that worried about it, you can use a vaporizer or simply bake it.

If it were damaging to your brain, I'm sure his "BRAIN MASS" would increase his benching capabilities (AKA CHEST MASS)? You know, because he's thinking his weight off the rack. Use the force. Otherwise, refer back to my previous post about the "Government" owning "Patents" (that's the keyword here) about it being neuro-beneficial.

You might think I'm biased in your head calling me a "Typical Stoner", But really I just smoke once or twice a year, one of the times on 4/20. I used to smoke a lot back in high school and I can definitely see the negative effects it can have. And the negative effects it can have aren't from it, it's from the legal aspects of it. I don't want to risk getting caught with it, spend money on it, or spend time on it, so I barely do it. Unfortunately, Tennessee, being in the bible belt, has rather strict laws on it. Until that changes, I'll keep my record arrest and record free.

Deep down I could give two shits if it's legal or not. When I feel like doing it, I'll find it easily enough. If you want to waste your tax payer dollars (Which tend to be at a premium nowadays), then go ahead. Personally I dont give a **** if people do cocaine, meth, crack, heroin, etc, as long as I'm not forced to and they don't get around me with that ****. I just hate seeing 1 cent of my tax dollars go to telling ********* like that not do things when they're gonna do it regardless.

same here.. im at 175 and doing 230.. my bench is still going up while im cutting tho so im happy..
How tall/old are ya? I'm the same way.

Told my trainer other day I don't even need a cutting phase for a good while, my metabolism is through the roof. Can eat loads, lose weight, increase bench/squat. Only 19 so I'm gonna ride my testosterone high for a couple more years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Granted I'm only 5'6-5'7ish, I'm a little short.

First off that's his own fault. Michael Phelps won 8 medals and he smokes.... just saying. I know plenty of athletes in college that smoke more than me and they have zero problems. Each person is different tho
right.. I believe weed brings out your true human nature.. like that kid with the awesome basketball skills was probably a lazy ****. He was so gifted. but whatever just stadardize weed like cigarettes or alcohol and Ill be happy

Even if it's legal I might smoke every now and then, but I'll probably do it as often or less than I drink (Not often, again because of time/money constraints), because jack daniels / whiskey already has my heart.

I mean, honestly I think anything (even weed) is bad in excess. Granted some things are worse than others in excess (alcohol vs weed for example). I mean, even if it's not particularly harmful to your body, it can still be harmful to your wallet. Nothing wrong with sitting down and getting high every now and then, just like there's nothing wrong with sitting down and drinking a beer. I used to be a big stoner a good while ago, but now if I sit down 1 hit I'm gone because I rarely ever smoke.

sorry about that. the links should now allow you to at least see the abstracts. Btw that's just a small sample, you can search the status of the literature yourself in pubmed. The idea that marijuana has no addiction potential was popular 20 or so years ago but the few studies that supported the idea were pretty flawed, and there wasn't really any human research on the topic. I dont want to over blow this because, like i said, the risk is not similar to that of nicotine or alcohol, but it is none the less there.
Does that truly make it any more harmful? Point set: look at alcohol and tobacco/cigarette physical dependency.. they're legal. Marijuana has medicinal properties.

Alcohol has medicinal properties too, albeit not as many.

I agree it can be addictive to certain individuals, however for the 90% of the population that doesn't have an addictive personality, the addictive potential is relative to caffeine.

Would you like to retract your last paragraph Tpmeredith? I can easily refute what you just said. Your claim that it is taxing on the wallet should not rationalize the need to prohibit its growth, sale, and consumption. What about medication like pain killers, otc medication, and etc. Most if not all drugs are expensive and they pose greater health risks compared to marijuana ( with physical dependencies).

I truly don't believe that after debunking all the stereotypes of marijuana that there is any sound argument to keep it illegal. Even more so lately, with studies showing it provides medicinal value to a myriad of health issues.
