mechanical noise

ive got an AQ hdc312 on a kicker zx1500.1. gains are set right, i followed the entire break in period, and now all the sudden its got mechanical noise when its playing on certain frequencies. is it bad for the woofer to have these noises?

usually, it's bad. closely inspect the spiders and surrounds. make sure there are no tears. be very thorough around the cracks are areas where the surrounds meet the frame and cone.
