mdf baffle vs. plexiglass baffle?

Will plexi baffle against mdf baffle make a difference in spl or sq .... because im thinking about making my box out of mdf and having the front made out of plexi glass so i can put neons on the inside...j/w if it will make a difference

No, it will not make a difference, both are strong materials.

as long it is thick enough/braced enough your are fine.

plexi can be a pain to work with if you don't know what you are doing (like me)... for instance I've never successfully cut a peice myself... I always crack it

im definetly new at using plexi glass hopefully it wont be too much of a pain....

predrill everything. i would double baffle the front, and cut out a rectangle, and *inset* the plexi inside of the outer baffle, that mounts to the inner baffle.

kind of like the idea behind flush mounting a sub.
