Mb Quarts

i run all quarts in both my rides and love them.

as far as sq, they are hard to beat. in my truck i use the discus in 6 1/2" and 6x8 and they get around 100rms to each.crossed over at 65hz, they handle and sound excellent.

in my olds, i have a set of exp 6x9 for rear fill and mid bass, and reference 5 1/4 in the front doors along with a set of jl 6 3/4 also. i plan on replacing thoes with quarts within the next few weeks or so.

imo the mb quarts aro by far my favorites out of the many types have tried over the years.

well how loud do they get looking for something with loud highs and vocals and good midbass as well i have 175rms per side to give to comps if needed

what set of mb quart's are the better set of comps on the link i posted

alos out of those mb's,cdt 62's, polk momo's, rsd's, image dynamics ctx, or kicker ks

which set would have the best sound highs with midbass as well

nope only place i have is circuit city and so basically to find out what comps i am gonna get is through everyones suggestion on here thats why i ask about so many comps

I have them. They are pretty good speakers but a bit to harsh. I have the newer series which are made by maxxsonics vs those ones. I love my mb just the tweets are to harsh

Try the Pioneer PRS comps. I love em! Very warm.

I have MB Quart Reference series and Polk DB6501. I prefer MB Quart over the Polk. MB Quart is more clear in the mid for me and personally I think the high of Polk is a bit too much.

the discus line are excellent and they arnt "harsh" in my truck. i sent them each 90 rms and they play great. they are a good deal too.

Great example of why to not buy speakers off what people say. He thinks there harsh and you dont. Maybe the OP will think there harsh, maybe not. Thats why he needs to listen to them first.

this is very true, everyone has different taste. the best way to choose any sub, mids, or driver is to listen to them for your self. let your ears make the decision.

it has a harsh tweet but really good midbass. I prefare the rsd over my discus cuzz of the silk dome tweets and good midbass

to me they are not harsh but nice and very accurite, imo
