It's a nice sub...I had the 12" and I thought it was a good sub. I liked the inverted surround and the simplicity of wiring it...it has little jumper and directions on how to wire it rather than having to go to post to post with a chunk of speaker wire. They can take some pretty good power too...very heavy magnets...I ran 800 on mine (rated for 600) and it loved it. How did it sound you ask...well that is for your ears to find out

The only reason why it's so cheap is because they stopped making them. But yeah I don't see why it wouldn't be

Even though they may have stopped making them, they still come with a 3 year warranty. So, all in all, I think it would be nice to give it a shot.

Where do you get some of the information that you post? It simply amazes me sometimes....
If he buys it from Crutchfield (the ONLY authorized Internet retailer for multiple manufacturers) and the item page states that it comes with a three-year warranty then it comes with a three-year warranty ~ Period!

I bought a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X569 HU from Crutchfield. It came with a 2yr warranty as Crutchfield is an authorized dealer for eXcelon gear. 1 yr and like 9 months after that purchase it started throwing up a TOC Error for any and all CDs you tried to play.

I called Crutchfield, they looked up the purchase date to verify that the warranty was still current, then gave me an RMA # to put on the shipping container.

I sent it to 'em, they fixed it, and sent it back. Took less than 2 weeks turnaround.

Whatever Crutchfield sells - the warranty is honored as-stated on the item page. Regardless of who installed it.
