The MB Quart and the new Autotek M4000.1 share the same board and do 1800rms at 14.5v tested and confirmed from Maxxsonics.

I did a full review on this guy. I like it works great and clean power.

my discus i had looked beefier
Judging by the rice grain sized drain resistors and the way the toroid is grounded...there are a lot of other amps beefier than this.

Just because an amp has all sorts of 'things' neatly organized does not mean it is durable, sounds good, or is a quality product. Most of the time, the location of the components on Asian sourced amp boards make sense only from a 'hey, that looks pretty' point of view. Crack open an old Linear Power or one of the Hafler designed Rockford amps; that's what a beefy overbuilt amp should look like. In the case of the Linear Power amp, it'll be anything but neat...but notice how the toroid is grounded and how big the drains are for the fets. Those are two dead give-a-ways to a beefy amp.
