MB Quart ONX1.1500D vs Soundstream RUB1.1600D

I am not proud of the fact the none of current MB Quart mono amplifiers sum the input signal on the L/R plug. They maybe good amplifiers overall, albeit with a pre-amp section that was made inferior to most other amplifiers on the market because maxxsonics decided to save a penny on some resistors or other parts. Consider this if you're pinching your pennies, because the recommended way to connect this amplifiers to a lot of stereos is to use a Y-splitter ($10 shipped to you?). This probably does not affect how "how subs will hit" but it can potentially have effect on SQ, or should I say amps ability to faithfully reproduce what's recorded, on some recordings. Before anyone posts objections to my logic, dig the longer discussion on this issue from 2-3 weeks ago. If you're not rectal about this, then it's not an issue, just by the cheaper one.
