mazda 6 2006 double din options?

Anyone know anything about the double din option for the mazda 6 2006? i heard you need a whole new faceplate thing just to fit a double din which costs like 180? is this true and an only option? anyone know a how to video to replace the double din?

By my accounts theres only the $180 option, i had one i recently sold and i just used and lc6i i couldnt get myself to spend the $180 and then also $200+ for a double din
