Massive DMX barely moves...thinking DP or 2 12"s

I'm starting to live by RD it seems , after hearing two Classics on an rD 1000.1 and three alpha 15's on a 3250...
My vote is for

Two RD Alphas(even the V1's) on the 2200.1 at 1ohm

And why are you saying you are only getting 1700w rms out of that amp? That amp will do better than 2200 at 1ohm rms

I think you'd be very happy with two of the Alpha 15's on that amp

it wasn't junk it was a clean amp that put put decent power just not rated power

I have a 15" massive dmx on a rd 2200.1 bout 1700wrms...The sub doesnt really move that much. My 15" SX of a bx1500D got decently louder. Is it because I was powering closer to the rms rating? The DMXs rms is 3000w... 

If this is the case then I may get a 15" Death Penalty. Should I hear a big difference from the DMX setup because it is closer too the rms...

 

I May also just go with 2 12" Massive CWs or Matrix Elites.

Off a 20.1 my dmx 12 moved quite a bit....
and of the 3250.1 it toasted it within 2min or so

i wasnt very happy with the DMX either way maybe get a new sub & amp?

was it you that was trying to sell that dustcap or was it Terra?

You want loud? So why not look into a used MT 15"? They will get moving rather well off of 1700, or 1000 lol... Sound pretty good too at low volumes

Sorry to say this man, but your "2200" watt amp was discontinued b/c it didnt do rated power, id look into replacing the amp as the DMX is not a bad sub and replacing it I doubt is gonna fix your problem

Yea man, I'd ditch the amp too. You can get a used one here in the classifieds for mad cheap. I heard there's a guy selling kx2500's for like 400 or something like that

I have a sundown 1500d, that probably does similar power for 325

DMX's need alot of power, liked to be tuned high, and like small enclosures. I fed my DMX 15 two Visonik 4000xd's on it and took it for over a year. GREAT subs - if you dont try to use them beyond their design.
