LOL I just dont say smoke weed but dont know nearly as much as you do. You know how to convince the non smokers that its not bad! We need you here! This is actually very misleading.
The carcinogens and tars from smoked cannabis typically cause cancer.
However, the THC and cannabidiol seem to have a protective effect against cancer. In some trials, application of THC led cancer cells to go into a state of autophagy, where they eat themselves to death.
Dr. Donald Tashkin of UCLA conducted extensive research on the correlation between smoking cannabis and lung cancer. He was hired to do this research on behalf of the Federal Government. His conclusion was that cannabis does not cause lung cancer, and appears to have a protective effect through apoptosis, which kills the cancerous cells before they become malignant.
He also did research into the relationship between COPD and cannabis smoking. COPD stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, which refers to emphysema, bronchitis, and other obstructions of the airways. Dr. Tashkin found that smoking cannabis alone did not increase a person's risk of COPD or respiratory problems, although there was an additive effect if smoked with tobacco.
So there is the truth. For all the people who can't post anything better than "SMOKE WEEEEEEDDDD!!!!", please learn the facts and use them to your advantage.
