Well, I went down to the college to go have a long lunch with Amber. After wards I went to pick up some tools and such, nothing out of the ordinary. However, on my drive to the house(about 30-45 min away with out traffic) I had a situation arise.
I was caught up in a bit of traffic which is normal, however, what was not normal is that a few cars ahead of me was a truck carrying various types of scrap metals.
With our amazing roads here in OKC it was not long before some random smaller pieces fell off his truck. I did my best to avoid them, but however I was unsuccessful with such actions.
I felt the front tire clip the metal item. Slinging it up just high enough to catch on the frame, slide down the frame rail and puncture my rear drivers side air bag. I had lifted the truck trying to avoid the item so I was at 145psi(roughly) when it was punctured. Sounded about like a gun shot.
Of course I managed to not any cars but did end up in the median a some what. After assessing the damage and filling the report we called the wrecker and told him to just meet me at the college. Which was only a few blocks back from where I was. I just limped the truck across the street and down the road as I didn't feel like sitting there waiting for a wrecker to fight through the traffic and take another hour to show up.
Luckily there is no real damage other then the destroyed bag.
Cliffs..
Guy hauling metal in his truck had some fall off and I managed to catch it with my tire kicking it up and cutting a whole in my rear air bag. blah blah..no one hurt or any real damage so all is fine.
All is just fine, but it would seem that the truck is not going anywhere any time soon though lol I don't have a replacement bag, so I just ordered one and now I have to wait for it to get here.
