Well I dont want to buy a kit, since their almost always overpriced (well every single one Ive come across) So I making a list and some advice would be awesome (its been a while since Ive done any audio work).

This is for a 600watt rms amp.

~20 feet 2awg wire from a welding supply store ($2-3 a foot)

10-15 feet RCAs $5 at cardomain

fuse and fuse block (not sure on amperage) ~$15

end connectors (not sure if I need Os, forks or whatever)

Amp turnon wire still there from a previous installation (prev owner)

Anything Im missing?

I just wanted to make it so I wouldnt have to go through all of the fun of replacing all of the wiring when I upgrade. Since I plan on having this car for a looooooong time. Plus its a station wagon so I could easily wall it in the future if needed.

I see, i would just go the whole nine yards and go 1/0. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That seems all you would need, i may be missing something though.

I would go 1/0 but it wont fit into my amp terminals.

1) go to ebay

2) search for the kicker pkd1 1/0 amp kit

3) buy it for $81 shipped to your door

3) use the distribution blocks that came with the kit and the 4 gauge wire to fit the amps you have now

4) no need to upgrade in the future

why spend $60-80 with the whole welding supply, connectors, shipping costs, when you can get a BOMB *** kit for cheap that already has ring terminals attached for you, comes with a fuse holder and a fuse, distribution blocks, 20' of 1/0 power and 3' of 1/0 ground, 10' of 4 gauge wire

look for the kit that is $59 plus $22 for shipping and handleing

x2 that is a much better idea IMO.

yup thats the one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

all you need is the RCA's bro. seems like a good place with good feedback.

i ordered yesterday @ 11am or so during lunch, and when i got home @ around 2 i already had a UPS tracking number in my email with a scheduled delivery date of today.

btw knukoncepts is bad *** stuff too for cheap, and its whats in my car right now, but overall this kicker comes with more wire and items you would need for cheaper than the kollosus kit.

Now I just need to work on getting another HU (the alpine that came with the car has had a rough life, screen doesnt tilt or open for the cd player and randomly doesnt work)

IF you really want to keep that alpine i would suggest their repair center.

they charge a $95 flat rate repair. so whatever needs fixing they will do it for $95 flat.

did a good job on my 9831 which i didnt want to let go (until it was stolen).

its really up to you though. do you think its worth $95 to fix it (ie, does it have all the features you want) or does your current tastes necessitate a new HU.
