How exactly does this read on a DMM? As in, what does the DMM display? Voltage or does it do the math or what?

it reads off a setting DBR. basically it will read at -60 when you burp your setup the meter reads either a - or 0 or + . If it reads + 5 that means 155 , if it reads a 0 thats a 150 and if it reads a -5 than thats a 145. The meter is dialed in at 150db=0 so you ad or subtract the reading you get from 150. Its super simple to use and is very accurate, i used this side by side a TL and this is .2 off over 150 and pretty dead on below a 150. For the price and the ease of use its a great tool!!

Good meters. I had mine next to a termlab at a show. Tl read 143.8 my meter read 143.6.
