Mail Came :)

Update ... This is like day 8 or something but ive been busy so this is actually

Day #3 of my project.

Mounted base frame inside the trunk

Test fit subs to make sure they could be put in the box once the box was built.

Ran Two more strands of 4 ga wire from the front to the trunk... couldn't find any 2 or 0 ga wire and don't feel like waiting for an internet order to get here.

Prepared area for fiberglassing...

Fiberglassing... RAIN DELAY... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Day #4

finally started fiberglassing. Two layers.. three packs of fiberglass hair, and a can of bondo resin. I now remember how much fiberglassing sucks... poking at something to try and get it to stick for hours on end.

Thats all i did was fiberglass the base today... still have 4 - 6 more layers to go... man this is gonna cost alot. Do you guys think ill need all those layers on the base for the setup that im running??

Day #5

FINISHED base fiberglassing 3 cans of bondo resin and 9 packs of bondo hair later. For a total of 7 layers or 8 layers... lost count after like 5 layers of "tapping".

Tomorrow i'm creating the side shapes with either cardboard or poster board and hopefully getting the wood cut. Guy at home depot agreed that he would cut the wood for me exact... that took a little bribing. I might be done by the end of the week. Oh and i had to cut my volume down almost 2 cubes so ill only be giving each sub ~5 cubes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif... wish i had a bigger trunk. I will also begin work on the front baffles 3 pieces. Didn't think yall needed pictures for this update as it looks almost exactly like the previous update except for the area looks browner from the resin. And hopefully i don't have to do too much more fiberglassing seeing as ive cleaned out all the AutoZones, Advanced auto parts and other car shops within a 20 mile radius.

Also do you guys think would be better for burst. ( i will be getting even more electrical upgrades i.e. hopefully a second HO alt and 2 additional Orbitals, on a separate circuit ).

My current setup... only 1600 per sub

1 Audiobahn A4KDN's per sub, ~4kw

1 Hifonics Colossus per sub, ~god knows

1 Hifonics Hercules per sub, ~2kw

Or the setup of two A1500HCT's Strapped per sub, ~4kw

OK Day # Who gives a crap...

Had to put my project on hold because i ran out of money.

Finally Got my wood cut except for my baffles.

Test fit the wood it the trunk... Test fit batteries.... Test fit Amps...

Its all a go. Now i just need to cut the Speaker holes... BTW half of that wood was cut by a dremel... IT took a long LONG time... cuting at about an inch every minute... My dremel burnt up on me so now i need to find a way to cut my speaker holes or go out and buy a new dremel... ANy who here are mah pics.. CLICK ON THEM TO MAKE THEM LARGER!!!
