depending on your goal....
if SPL is your goal, than most likely the two 12" rlps will be louder, if you are going for SQ and still getting **** loud then I would definatly go with the MAG especially the new ones.

He is looking at a pair of 15" Rl-ps, not 12s.

Not really sure what you're getting at about the SQ thing....the pair of Rl-p's will still sound no less than superb. And, likewise, the advantage of using more subwoofers.....using a pair of 15" Rl-p's will allow him to use less excursion for a given output level, decreasing distortion compared to a single sub setup.

Really, I think it's a no-brainer to go with the Rl-p's if he has the space.

i've used both the rl-p's and the old and new mag, i would go for the rl-p's. both are great drivers, and are very similar imo and i don't see the reason to pay more for a mag over an rl-p

yeah i think im gonna go with the Rl-p's now my only problem is gonna be getting 2 of those bad boys in my camaro.....hmmm?? any ideas?

has anyone fit 2 15's in a camaro w/o fiberglassing?

people there is this function called search,

 

both are excellent drivers, I have tested both, the two RL-ps will have greater output than the single MAG, either way your going to have a very very nice sub stage, win win situation,
