Ok... So I am finding myself running in circles. So lets start with the problem and what I have checked.
This system takes over the entire climate controls and Sync. (idatalink.com the maestro kits if you are interested or unfamiliar.) I am missing the function for my heated seats. it shows them turning on from the menu in the head unit and can hear the relays clicking when the either the button or the screen display is activated, however they do not activate, the seats never get warm. That is a problem that I am waiting to talk with Maestro about, as it lies within their interface communications. I have re-flashed the unit and gone through all of the connections. all the rest of the other factory functions are working just fine and seem to have seamlessly integrated.
The other problem is that now whenever the unit is powered on, there is an alarm tone that signals, the same type you have when the lights are left on after keys removed from ignition. So this alarm tone that plays is constant when the lights are turned on from parking lights to any other setting.
A few things I discovered with this. When entering the vehicle there is a few moments of the parking lights staying on after using keyless entry. Well the noise is present from the parking lights being on as well. Now this noise is with all doors closed and no actual vehicle alarms as this would be indicated on the info panel in the unit. While driving if I turn the lights off the tone goes away back on and so forth. Now if I take the dimmer switch and lower the voltage signal the tone drops in volume with the dimmer. Now while its digital it is still functioning as a rheostat to my understanding. So the signal is being carried to my audio somehow. (The whole reason for this post aside from the heated seat function.) So I took the Illumination wires to the deck and disconnected them to see if I could interrupt the signal.
Sorry for the long post I tried to keep it as short as possible and would love to get this figured out. I can answer any other questions and have a dmm and some test leads. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. As I said I have reflashed the Maestro interface, and also attempted to update the Kenwood unit byt could not achieve this through WiFi, flash drive via usb or disc. I will be calling in to talk with the Tech lines for likely both if the first cant help me solve the problem.
