Mach5 MLI-65's

I am thinking about getting these along with two Seas 27TAFNC tweets, all 4 running 100w a piece.. has anyone heard these Mach5's and will they sound better than my crappy 125w per side ED Intergrated 6500 components from two years ago? I need way more midbass, so this new setup will be active..

Also, any crossover suggestions for these? The mids and tweets will be hooked to one or two crossovers, whatever it takes, then to the amp for an active rig. Thanks!

I've heard that the midbass on them is awesome but the midrange frequencies don't sound all that great. They would be very nice in a 3way setup as a dedicated midbass or could probably be paired up with a nice large format tweeter that can go down to about 2000hz. I think they're pretty deep too, so you might wanna make sure it'll fit wherever you decide to put them.

i really like mine. If I was serious about the sound, I'd put them in a ported enclosure. They're currently just mounted in the doors.

The diymobile review was the one I read, I was a little off but didn't feel like searching //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I still say a tweeter that plays a little lower would help out with that set though.

cliff notes from DIY:

The woofer plays from essentially 4kHz on down to wherever you want with little problem. Full range is of little problem for the woofer. You can't beat the laws of physics, but the woofer doesn't show any weakness other than some minor loss of cleanliness in sound. It does whatever you want it to, happily. The tweeter, despite being on the tiny side, does offer wide range capability and is usable from 3kHz on up with little problem and hasn't shown me any real hints of strain even at loud volumes. I've kind of settled on a happy point of 3.5kHz between the two, using the available 24dB/oct slope from my HU.
tweeter he is using is from the Alpine Type X comps

how are the peerless?
I just got them working yesterday on a sundown 100.2 and they get low and sound great in the midbass region my doors are heavily deadened but I need a baffle. I have them running 80hz-200hz or 300hz (I can't remember at the moment) but I might try out 63hz with them to see how they do. I don't have my L4's or L1's in yet so I have nothing but midbass right now...lol

Uh.. heh.. heh.. need some help.. I was taking door panel off and broke 2 push pins, the little "push" pin part fell through the back of both of them behind the metal in my doors, how the heck do i get that out lol...

Because I can't get my arm in there... to the left behind the speaker in the door but its only like 2.5-3in. from metal to door so my arm isn't exactly going to fit there lol.. and I cant see to find them
