How would 2 of these sound ported? or maybe 3 seald. I know they are sq oirented subs, But i want something loud as **** when i want it. Plus ive always wanted 18"S. The svc 4 ohm coil is really whats hindering my decision, plus its only about 13mm xmax. I have a concept audio ccd1200, It does 1200@1ohm 750@ 2ohm. So that means 2 of the mj18s would only be getting 350 watts or so a piece. so im not sure if 2, or even 3, would be the greatest match with the amp i have.

Or i could go with 3 seald, in the end that would give me around a 1.33 ohm load, I belive they need 3.5cf a piece seald correct? What are the ported requirements?

also any general input on these subs would be apreciated. As far as my space requirements, I have a 96 crown victoria, soo i have about as much space as a small suv.

Their actually not making them anymore right now, they are getting ready to come out wit a new one with more coil options

ive found some used ones in the classifieds. They seem impractical for my purposes so far, so i might pass on them, just getting opinions

i think you're misconstruing the purpose of xmax. the 13mm is fine for the subs purpose and Mach5 is a great company to support and they have great customer service.
