got my mbp back in sept 2010, I've recently updated to lion, but had this problem on leopard. Ill be on a few sites, or just one at a time, and all of a sudden internet stops working. wifi says I'm connected at full bars, but the pages don't load and i have to restart the computer to reconnect to the internet. Does anyone else experience this? how did you fix it?

Sounds like a problem with a Plugin or Input Manager in Safari. Do you know how to try them one at a time? If not msg me.

I had the same problem, but didn't have to restart my Macbook Pro. I would have to turn off Wi-Fi and then turn it back on. I also made some other changes but I don't recall at the moment.

I know when I was having the problem I did some google searching and found a bunch of different topics about the issue. Someone recommended on a forum about changing some of the Wi-Fi settings and that helped me. It was a known issue with Snow Leopard and transferred over to Lion when I updated.

to be honest, for the amount of money we paid for these things, that should even be an option to fix it. actually, this shouldn't even be happening. i never once had an issue like this with my old hp, but this pos always does it and drives me nuts.

true, but id still take the few glitches over an hp anyday. i don't like waiting 20 mins for my laptop to turn on lol

agreed. i did usually keep mine on because i just didn't want to wait for it to load. lol. in any case, i guess theres no resolution to this which is really disappointing. From such a technologically advanced brand, they can't get the simplest things right, or offer any solution, because I'm sure all i would get is turn wifi off and back on.
