Okay, i need some honest opinions here. I dont want windows nut-riders dogging on macs, and i dont want mac nut-riders dogging on windows's.

Simple question for mac users: What do you NOT like about your mac?

I'll be buying a new laptop in the near future, and i have plenty of experience with windows based computers.

Its between a 13" macbook pro, and a 14" sony vaio, both loaded, both prices are very comparable.

The only thing I dislike about my mac is the hardware exclusivity.

Since apple doesn't make drivers that support almost any part as a PC would it was cheaper for me to buy an external cd/dvd drive rather than replace the one inside my macbook.

Only thing I don't like about my macbook is that it is chipping around the edges. I've had it about a year and half, and I don't abuse it. Other then that I love it. Far less hassles then my girlfriends Toshiba with comparable specs.

The only downside I see to macs are their price. The hardware just isn't worth that much... I'd be bale to buy 2 hp computers for the price of 1 mac.

IMO if you can live with the bad screen resolution (1133x768 I think), I'd recommend an ASUS laptop.

I'd recommend buying from gentech or xoticpc.com

They have great customer service, and will add artic silver thermal compound onto your cpu/gpu (I think its 35$ extra). defiantly worth it. As heat is what kills electrical components.

Overall, if you clean your laptop out once a year or once every 6 months, it should last forever. Usually dust accumulates in the heat sink fins and ends up over heating the mobo.
