MA Audio 800XL

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with the MA Audio 800XL woofers. My friend told me that he would sell me his 2 for only $100 together. I was just wondering if it was even worth it. I tried searching, but I didn't come across anything. Does anyone know what they are comparable too also?

I've used the XE, X2, D6, and older XL models.. The XE 8"s I had were great budget subs, I only paid $75 for the pair. that's a decent price for a pair of 800XL's, they handle more power and have more excursion than the XE's I had did.

Why not try em out? Maybe comparable to a Comp VR 8" or even a little better than that?

The SQ was fine on the XE's, the XL's are supposed to be better... again I have no direct experience with that particular model.

I used the XE 8"s for fun, they sounded as good as the RE 10" I played with too.. and handled more power.

The XLs are beefier and have a cast basket.
