Whats up everyone, have a question/problem im new to all this so hopefully someone can help me. I just put 2 10" PPi's in my truck, i got them for free so i can't be picky nore do i know if there a good sub or not but they sound fine when my volumes low or at about half but when i keep turning it up the music seems to be more trebly out of the subs and i start to lose more bass the louder it gets. This something with the amp? It's on low pass so i dont know whats goin on im sure this is prolly some easything lol.

what frequency is the low pass at? subs usually should play no higher than 80hz.

it should be. but i don't see how it should be playing anywhere in the treble area unless you accidentally put the crossover on all pass.

i might have my amp has three channels, the first is for mid to high and has a high pass and the other two channerls run with the low pass i bridged the 2 last channels to my subs and put it on low pass ill hav to check for wat the hz are set at

How did you set the gain and where is it set to?

What headunit are you using?

How much power does the amplifier have? What specific PPI subs do you have and what is their power handling?

k, Amp: Sony Explod 500watt 4/3 channel XM-504Z

Headunit:Kenwood KDC-205CR 50wx4

Subs: all i know is there 10" PPi's i got them from a friend he doesnt remember and it doesnt say any where on the manet or sub what there watts is or anything about them, plus i checked there site n cant find them :/

The gain on the amp goes from .3 to .6v and its on .5v right now ive ran it on .6 to and it does the same thing, and my LPF is set to on for 80Hz
