i just thought i would pass this on to everyone on here because it was really convienent for me.....

i ordered a piece of mdf from lowes today at about noon and asked if they could cut it for me and he said it was free for 2 cuts and 25 cents after that, so i gave him my cut sheet over the phone and he said he was gonna work on it.

anyway i called just now and he said it was a total of 5 cuts, so its gonna be $22 after tax when i pick it up tomarro for perfectly cut pieces for my box, isnt that awesome? sorry if you already knew that already but i just think its the greatest think since sliced bread....only its wood....

im never touching a circular saw again......

I'm going to doubt that they are perfect cuts, unless I'm thinking of a different Lowe's....
guy at my lowes gave me excellent cuts. I didnt try to rush him or anything though, just stood aroud and bullshitted for a while and he did a cut every now and then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Can't wait til my uncle wood shop is ready to go though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

The only cuts that I got at Lowe's were very very crooked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif... The guy looked like he had never seen a saw in his life...

its kinda funny though, whenever i post something on here, no matter what it is, people sh!t all over it, actually, the same people.......

where ng and his 2 bits? hes always got something to add, lets see if im right......

I thought I read the title wrong, I thought it said "Lowes Is Awesome!!!"

No wait, it does. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

With Lowes/HD, it's either hit or miss. They only guarantee the cuts within 1/4", so they can mess up within that parameter all they want (however some people have gotten way worse mistakes from them). I hope your wood comes out right. When I had my wood cut, all the important pieces were correct but the trim pieces were not all right.

They don't have a table saw. They use a panel saw, which can make some accurate cuts, buuuuuuuuut most of the employees there don't have the slightest clue on using them.If you get someone who actually takes pride in their job, ok.You might get some good cuts.

Perfect cuts though? ROFLMFAO!11ONE!!1!!ONE!!1!

When I've had to get wood cut there, they were off and crooked as hell. One side would be 1" shorter than the other.Table saw or circular saw + me = FTW!

I haven't seen any of your other threads, but maybe people shit on them because they're stupid?

Hope it works out for you, terry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

If it does? Ooooooowhatta deal, right?

If it doesn't (as you cannot remove the human component from the equation thus there will be the possibility of error) then take the most jagged piece and beat the guy within an inch of his life //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

HD charges a dollar per cut AND they cant even really cut right... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Thats a rather expensive HD. Mine is first 2 cuts free, any after that are 25cents, and over 10 cuts IIRC they start charging by the hour some exorbitant amount.
