Lowered 2004 Ford Explorer on 22s

Looks good, I don't know what I should do with my 99. Either add a set of leafs in the back, or lower the front. These are the wheels I plan to put on, just sittin there.

**** your rear end is not lowered and it is sitting that low? you got some heavy *** equipment in the back then.

You definitely can lower your front end. I had the same generation explorer as yours (1995, totalled) and I lowered the front by removing torison bolts. And I added 2" blocks in the rear axle to lower the rear end. But in your case I guess I would not even bother putting blocks on the rear end since it is already that low. or maybe 1" blocks instead of 2". Be advised, your handling performance will increase dramatically BUT ride quality have gone to shit after I removed the torison bars. I could feel the potholes more in the vehicle and I experienced bottoming out in the front end pretty often. That is one way to lower 2nd gen that I know of. I dont think there is any other way but I could be wrong.

Y'all, thanks for the kind comments. I knew there would be some more people that would appreciate this kind of vehicle/set up.

never been a fan of the black rims but i like them on your ride. looks nice. doesnt look overdone, which some people just cant get the jift of. my opinion would be a set of rain guards and nothing else but do what you do. regardless, looks real good the way it sits.

Thanks for the kind comments

22s look small? lol I will not go any bigger, period. I think 22s looks the best though. I dont want too big but I dont want too small either so 22s are like in the middle. Some sets of 20s looks really nice as well.

You arent going to be able to tow that camper with it lowered like that. It will bottom out with all that weight.
LOL, how many times am I going have to say this?

It is my parents' camper and I never pull it, it is a duty of my dad's f150.

OP's explorer is one of the cleanest explorers i have seen. Good job
Thanks man.

I never really understood the whole lowering an SUV thing... but that is just me, it does look pretty nice to be honest though. Also, in all honesty when I get my Escalade I will probably be doing the same thing LOL but that is a little different. Escalades where never really meant to go off road or anything.

Not worried about pulling that camper with it lowered? Or do you use the Jeep for that?
Everyone has to do the same thing...
