Wanted to see what other ppl can do with ext cab / crew cab trucks, without a shitton of batts, and h/o alts. prefer 1 batt up front and 1 in back, somehwer around 2k watts for subs

I was thinking of doing that, if i went ported. i thought it was difficult to make an entire side ported? either way i really like your setup, very nice.

I've tinkered with 3 trucks

-Chevy 1500 extended cab, 3x DD9518s powered with a Powerbass XA4000D, subs forward port up, burped 154s, 151s on music daily

-Ford F150 extended cab, 4x DD3512s powered with 2x DDM3s, subs forward port up, burped 153, high 149s on music daily

-Chevy standard cab, 2x DD2510s powered by an RD D5, subs forward behind driver's seat, port out passenger side, burped 150, 148s on certain music for 30 seconds

Not bad other than the box was very heavy. We built a platform for it and used every bit of room we had under the window line.

well if you take the back seat out there are options. i have a 98 gmc ext cab. and i shoved 2 re sx 18s in there with room for my amp and battery. runnin my jbl gto 1201.1/its a little underpowered but at 1 ohm its not too shabby.

My old '98 silverado was 154-155dB @ 48hz w/ 3 DD3515, 3 Deka 9a31, and 1 Z2hv @ 1ohm.

Pretty sick daily driver...lol.

My 3-15 setup was very musical and I beat the hell out of it daily. The 3515's took it great though, the Z2hv was only about 7-8k@ 14v. I actually have a 2 of the original 3 in my '04 avalanche now on my M2a's. Depending on the truck, power, and sub(s) you have...i'm sure I can help you with a design. I have built some sick low, mid, and high-ish power daily systems in ext cab trucks. Hell...one of my daily guys here at the shop does 144+ w/ 1 RF T1-12 on a kicker kx400.1 @ 2ohm.

Just remember. Daily beaters and all-out SPL machines are totally different animals. I have seen guys wanting 155+ but they don't understand just how much power and displacement you need to make that musical. Hell, you can burp a huge #, but to sustain it w/ music @ 35hz can require 5x the power....or more.
