Loud Thump

I recently got a Profile Cali 1000.2 amp and 2 10" memphis's and when the amp powers up i get a loud thump from the subs... is there anything i can do to prevent the thump....

i had a problem like that in my system- i had my rca plugs running directly to the sub amp- i re routed it so that one set of rcas went to my component amp, then the output from there went to my sub smp - case solver but i know how u feel it is very annoying when it happens

figured it out, the rca's were reversed on the amp...

nope i lied, it only worked once... its still doing it

thats cause you don;t have an amp with silent turn on. Most older amps do not have a silent turn on. Think of it as if the amp is starting it's ignition (bad example but i couldn't think of anything else) Your amp is fine, your wiring is fine. Left to left and right to right on your rca's. Your amp is acting normal. Sometimes it happens when you don;t have your amp on recently. But you'll notice that it happens less when you turn your ignition key to acc alot of times. When your key is in acc for longer periods of times you'll get the thump. Power is sent tot he amp and kinda surges it but it doesn't hurt it. I really can;t explain it well. But your amp and audio equipment = 100% fine.

ive been told its fine, but i dont want it... is there some kind of relay or something i could put in line with the power feed or something? its a brand new amp, i just bought it a few days ago... im pretty sure its a '05 model

unless you want your amp on 24/7, then no. Deal with it or get a new amp.

blah blah blah... new amp isnt a option, it took 2 weeks to get here, im not going to go another month without my system. maybe ill figure something out so the power comes on gradually

get a ground loop isolater and also find a new grounding sppot fot the amp

that does nothing to help the thump. You cannot avoid it. It's on teh amp litrerally forever until you destroy it or blow it or w/e. As many times as your going to complain and recieve "supposedly" help about the remote thump, it's always gonna be there. I've had it for 2 years and i had no complaints.

come on now , we all told you before its part of the amp , i call it unique , you either have to get a new amp or live with it
