Loud "Thump"

Hello! Been a long time since i've been into car audio(8years I think). Anyways, i've been getting back into them, starting our with the best you can buy equipment(Sony Xplod:laugh:)... Like I said, starting out again and wasn't looking to be flying out of my car(yet) cause the pressure was to much.

On to my problem, I don't recall ever having this issue and back then I didn't know news letters, or message boards existed for the hobby so never heard of it either... I installed two more amps for a total of 3(2 for each sub and 1 for the speakers) after doing so I get a "thump" from the speakers and subs when I down the volume down, or the head unit off.

Any suggestions on where to start to solve this? Any questions I need to answer to get this solved?

Thanks in advance!
