Loud Pop when PPI PCX-480 turns on

It's been years since I used this amp. It's old school I know but I can't seem to remember if this amp was designed with the "soft" turn on feature or not... so that I don't get that loud POP from the speakers.

Does anyone have this amp or any one of the PPI PCX series so they can confirm if this loud pop was normal on these models. I can't remember for the life of me.

I know many of the older style amps had this issue but I believe that amplifier engineers these days have done away with this problem on most of the newer amps.

When I used it a while back, the amp did not have that problem. For me this was as recent as 6 months ago. Great amp though, just didn't like the plugs.

I'm not sure either... but.. just decided to take out the PCX-480 and installed the Sundown.

No more Pop... very pleased.
