Loud horn?

I've seen these before and now I want my own. They're basically horns that are placed outside of your car that can blare deafening music. Now what sets this aside from the average Loud horn or speaker or whatever is that they play music from your mp3 player. Most I find online play 1-3 pre-set songs. My friend told me he got his horns for $10 each at the flea market but surly its not that simply. How would you connect it to your stereo? I don't know. Just need some insight I guess. Btw this will basically be for throwing parties outside, although it should not matter what they will be used for.

I said I would use them for outdoor parties, I also said it should not matter WHAT I use them for, for you guys have no authority over me. But yeah: Phoenix, Kind of like a horn an ice cream truck would use except I can play mp3s from my stereo from it

No no, thats what I'm saying I don't know the type of equipment I'm talking about. If you could tell me the name of the thing your talking about and I could look for it on amazon or google to buy that would help. I gotta have/ know about the item first before I can even begin to worry about wiring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif And also, I don't have an attitude. Just not necessary that this one guy did nothing but post about how I would be a "D" If I blasted music. Like, how did that help me?

then it sounds like you need to do some research on what you actually want instead of wanting someone to spoon feed you what you need. i would tell you but i dont mess with that world of audio. that is more pa systems than car audio. so spend a little time on google and see what you come up with .

and ram is a awesome guy, but he is like most of us on here, if we sees someone who is actually trying to work with someone and doing so in a positive constructive way has already posted in the thread than comments like that will come up, you just have to over look them.

Sigh. Thank you "You don't have to help me if I'm a "D". Thanks.

Anyways, thanks man. Now that you have informed me its more of a PA system it will aid me in my research. Its not about being spoon fed. Its more about me failing to find what I was looking for after an hour of googling and it hitting me that I have no idea what I'm looking for.

Welcome to the forum.

+1 on not being short with people unless absolutely necessary.

I hope you find what you're looking for. Are you upgrading your battery so you don't run it to the ground with music while car is off?

Some people are a bunch of "D"s on this forum.....

I don't know why everyone cops an attitude every time someone new comes on this forum.

What you're looking for is a loudspeaker. Like a PA type loudspeaker.

They also make Marine speakers that can be used outdoors. I saw a car at a show one time that had these types of speakers mounted behind the front grill.

You can also look up Outdoor speakers and see if you can find one small enough to mount somewhere safe, away from rocks and road debris if possible.

Getting a good quality set of loud door speakers can be the easiest way to solve the problem. Like the guys above were saying, just swing the doors open.

I've seen vids online with guys playing their speakers over 100 feet away sounding nice and loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good luck!

at heel: Tooo many experiences with battery dieing with other cars in the past. I don't do anything without the engine on these days. And I sleep with an alternator under my pillow for good luck lol.

at VW: Precisely! "Types of speakers mounted behind the front grill" That's exactly what I'm talking about. And ok I'll look those up

EDIT: I see all types of air horns loud speakers all these horns and PA systems EVERYTHING. But they come with songs already installed like police sirens... How would I play songs from my stereo into it o_O

You want one like this:

Amazon.com: Pyle PHSP6K 6.3-Inch Indoor/Outdoor 25/W PA Horn Speaker: Electronics

"Horn Speaker" is what a lot of people seem to be calling them these days. They're actually a PA Loudspeaker. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You wire them up just like a regular speaker. You might want to run a separate ~100W amp for these.

Its going to sound like crap though! You would want something more like this:

Yeah the one on top was the one I was looking for. And this time believe it or not I'm not that interested in good quality. I'm pretty sure there should be a way to do it without an amp but I may just get an amp so I can turn them off and on easier.
