Loud feature on 880 active

I never use the loud button, or any bass boost options. all i use is the gains and the crossovers on the headunit, also i play with the EQ as well.

Loud is a ghetto way to get a louder sound, basically cheating, i see where ngsm13 is coming from, and he is right. And tRdoc, i would stop right now lol.

I have the 880PRS as well, and i have yet to connect my Nine.5 and MS6A's, but once i do, i will take my time and tune everything accordingly. Without the loudness and bass boost.

If it sounds good to you with the "loud" on who gives a shat? Its your audio system it should sound good to you! Not what everybody wants it to be..........

I agree with you djeazie as well as a lot of you other guys. My intent for the thread was to get an idea of what LOUD actually does and to see whether it was benificial to use it. I have turned it off and tuned a little and i know that I can get a good sound without it. The 880 has a lot of features intended to improve the sound and finding the right combination of those can be a pain. Setting gains and crossovers and eq is tough enough, then you add in BBE and all of the other options and features into the equation and it gets much more complicated.

I think the reason why other people say the loud feature sucks, is because with the 880PRS, why use it. Its a bad *** unit. I would expect it with a cheaper headunit.

its a familarity thing i guess.

i didnt get my settings right for a long time, and i keep changing them.

right now the eq setting that i use is flat, and it sounds etter than ever.
