Loud Compitition sub

Ford Contour, Kicker CVR 12". 1.5 cube enclosure, sub facing forward, external 6" flared port tuned to 40 hz. 142.XX with an American Bass XD1800 at 2 ohms. This was about 4 years ago so I don't have pics.
on the tl?

Of course! TL on the dash, passenger side. The crappy thing about it was the spider ripped before the coil even came close to getting toasted.

To the OP, sorry for thread jacking.

I swear to god, no one can spell anything correctly on here.
It's competition, not compitition.

This forum is filled with tards.

LOL, i realized that yesterday. Not sure how to change it, im fairly new to this forum. But who really cares about spelling as long as the point gets across.

Since he obviously has the budget for it, Id recommend a DD 9500 over the AQ HDC. Especially since he's appears to be planning on competing.
Where is the best place to buy this?

Also, how good is the orion hcca. ive heard the spl # are low. But i wanna know what you think. I found one for $300 new for a 12. Id prolly throw it in a 4cf box.

I'm working on my new single sub setup for the new competition season here. One Sundown NightShade 15 hit a 148.5 legal this weekend off the proto Sundown saz-2000d. It'll do a 148 off a Sundown saz-1500d. This is the early stage in testing and the final box design hasn't been built yet. My goal is a 149+. If you're planning on running less than 2kwatts then I highly recommend the NightShade cause its capable of getting very loud off little power compared to other spl oriented subs.

i'd have to see it to believe it.

Thats a decent number for a single CVR. I was doing 144's with a single 12" CVX a few years ago. The Kickers are ok, but they require too much airspace compared to better subs.

Single Kicker Cvr 15 powered by a Sundown saz-1500d = 143.5db

The box is 3ft net w/ two 4" ports tuned to 33z and will BassRace a 139.9 all day long playing Jeezy - Air Forces.

Before anyone asks the 1500 wasn't at full power. The Cvr peaks out mechanically.
