I believe you can only run the X's at 2 or 8 ohm

if you run 2 in parallel (sp???), you can get to 1ohm. You can hook more than a sub per amp. It's perfecly legal

type r sounds like straight doo-doo hole, but they get crazy loud. the x is way cleaner, but not as loud. more people buy the r's because of the price, so they never even consider the x.

My guess is a 146.6 sealed. They can handle more power then your giving them right? 1k seems kinda low for them.

1k is what alpine rates them at for RMS. i'm throwing about 1.5k at mine.
