I was driving to the campus, hit a patch of ice at 25 mph, I kid you not. Next thing I know, I'm going sideways. I hit the guardrail. This is why you replace muffler bearings every 6 months =/.

Anyhoo, the real damage isn't that bad, considering about 30 feet farther and my car would have been underwater. The turn light is about $32 for a new casing. The fenders will be pounded out and bondoed. And the bumper is about $310, new, so I'm looking around junkyards for a used one.

This ruins any hope of a new sub amp any time soon.

I JUST DID THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LoL hit the guardrail goin' to work though!!! It cost me $3,000 total to get it fixed...But I used Insurance of course! It was horrible...My poor Bonne!

Too bad you didn't have comprehensive insurance... You get that, and sometimes you can profit off of these types of accidents by getting junkyard parts

Sorry that you have to wait on a sub amp though, at least your not hurt. I had to drive home last night at 10.30, and as any member from NE PA could (probably) tell you, it wasn't exactly safe.

Well, I must confess, this sounds a little cocky but I'm a capable person in a demanding situation. Where most people probably would have messed themselves, I had already gotten ready (Door slightly open, seatbelt undone) to ditch the thing if the guardrail gave out. It didn't, which made the impact all that worse for me. (no seatbelt) While I appreciate people saying "At least you're alive" the way I've been told it by people at college gives me the impression that anyone else would have been halfway through sh*tting themselves in a mad screaming panik before they even hit the guardrail.

No real insurance. PLPD, that doesn't help. I'm hoping I can "fix" it to a cosmetically acceptable condition for under $250.

those guard rails don't give. i hit one at 50 mph once. smashed my fender, grill, bumper, and the force of the impact snapped my tie-rod end. i chose to spend money on my system instead of fixing my car. put in a new tie-rod end beat the fender with a hammer so my wheel would be able to turn and i was good to go. but anyways that sucks man. this snow and ice shit is starting to get old. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Custom? Haha, fraid not. The only external enhancements I want are done in bondo. =p I already ordered that whole little casing. $32 from a local dealer.

Actually, if I can fix this, over the summer I'm going to design like a mix between flame, tribal tattoos, and circuitry along the sides in that textured crome paint. There are 4 of the exact same car at the college, and I want to be able to tell mine apart.

EDIT: I think I can take off that front fender. I have an anvil in my garage, I can bang that out and do more of my bondo and paint magic on it. =p

dont feel bad 2 years ago...i was driving my grandam in the parking lot at school.....i had pulled in try and powerslide on the ice ya know? to be cool when your a senior...oh yeah i hit that ice and slid...right into a **** telephone pole, totaling my front left end on my car...my car was sharp looking to before the car and the pole got into a fight...the car was never repaired after that....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif just drove it with the damage....
