this is not true...i fix xboxes and i have had one for over a year now that i fixed the red ring of death on and have not had a single problem with it since...

Listen bagged! I have fixed over 250 in the past year with an 80% pass rate. I Know what i'm talking about. Yes maybe u got lucky but the truth is their is no fix that is permanent. Plain and simple some last some don't. The problem with ebay sellers is that they run them through a pizza oven to re-heat the solders. Yes they work but only for 60 days. Granted their is ways around the ebay sellers can offer 30 day warranty with square trade picking up the rest of the warranty at a small fee so everyone is happy but trust me that it is not a solid fix but more like a band aid.
