this chevy malibu has got to be the worst car ive ever driven...
You CAN buy the car back and normally for really cheap. My parents have done this twice and one of my friends once. You normally can make out pretty good like this, especially if you do bodywork or someone you know does cars.i'm not sure if you can buy your same car back if they claim it as totaled. if they did claim it as totalled and pay you what they feel is the value of the car or they could just pay off what you owe. so in a sense you really won't make out much for crap if they claim it as totaled.now if they did pay off what you owe and have a little left over i'm sure it's not going to be enough to repair it yourself. maybe enough to put a down payment on another car but deff not enough to buy it back and fix it w/o still going under.
plus, it would be a little hard to track the car as which ever company picks it up.
imo, just hope that the car can be repaired. if it can be and they take the car and fix it all up, turn around and sell it or trade it in. that depends on how bad you want a different car though.
don't take my word for all this. i'm no expert at ****ign with insurance nor have i been in multiple collisions. this is just what i've gathered as i live life.![]()
or you could drive an suv where you can do 80 in the rain because you have deep tread tires that disburse the water very efficientlyrain = slow down
downpour = slow down a lot.
snow= dont drive if you dont have to.
lesson learned?
