Incorrect. Running one coil wont hurt a DVC. Some DVC subs are actually designed to run both, or only one coil, depending on your needs for the driver. Only running one coil will change your t/s specs for the speaker, and hence the box requirements rather severly. ie: your box tuning will be thrown way off.I wouldnt run a single coil on a DVC sub nor would I run only 1 sub with power with both in. you might damage the coils
