I just wouldn't think that someone who is such a great hunter and understands wildlife so well would be alluded by hundreds of thousands of creatures with a brain the size of a pea for ~40 some days.

Try it for a season.You will understand. And I have already missed 1 due to my gun being off. And called in about a dozen other turkey. If it ain't a sure kill ethical shot, I do not take it. And it isn't always about the killing. If I hadn't have killed one my season would have still been awesome.

Well I am off to do something else productive, such as mowing my yard that hasn't been touched in 3 weeks because of a certain obsession.

The only thing that can entirely wipe out a turkey population is a case of "black head" disease.. Or a major geographic disastrous event.

Taking 1-3 birds a season is no where near wiping out bud.

Besides, 90% of hens have already been bred by the time the spring season opens. And you cannot kill hens..So even if ALL the gobblers are wiped out, which well never come close to happening, life will still go on.
