Long Record of Reliability

What car amplifier makers have a long record of reliability? I know that Rockford Fosgate, Linear Power, Jensen (yes Jensen), Audio Art are a few companies that make amps that just last and last and last. What are others out there?

Except the Soundstream Reference s/sx series. I remember the local SS dealership telling me that 25% of his Reference s/sx series amps went tits up right out of the box on first power up in the customer's vehicle.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Then again, I have a Reference 700s that has pretty much stood the test of time. The prior owner ran it 2 ohms mono and I ran it 2 ohms mono. Regardless, I have been told either you got a good one or you didn't:crazy:

Go ahead and laugh, but I spent $100 clams on a brand new Boss CH1200M, and I've been running it @ 2-ohms for over a year straight, and I used to blare it. Especially on road trips, and it has ZERO problems. The ground has even fell out and touched the positive terminal a few times and there are zero problems with it thus far.

Haha. That amp is fine for my application. I don't need more... or want it. I like my set-up as it is.

That's a lie, I want better highs / mids. A three-way set. But, that's later.

the phoenix gold....ZX series amps are beasts(if you can get your hands on one)...and have great SQ with them.
