Lollipop Remix Feat kanye West??!!

Freedom or jail, clips inserted, a baby's bein bornSame time my man is murdered, the beginning and end

As far as rap go, it's only natural, I explain

My plateau, and also, what defines my name

First it was Nasty, but times have changed

Ask me now, I'm the artist, but hardcore, my science for pain

I spent time in the game, kept my mind on fame

Saw fiends shoot up, and do lines of cocaine

Saw my close friends shot, flatline am I sane?

That depends, carry Mac-10's to practice my aim

On rooftops, tape cd covers to trees

Line the barrel up with your weak picture then squeeze

Street scriptures for lost souls, in the crossroads

To the corner thugs hustlin for cars that cost dough

To the big dogs livin large, takin it light

Pushin big toys, gettin nice, enjoyin your life

is what you make it, *******, few try to take it

Belt tied around they neck in jail cells *****

Heaven and hell, rap legend, presence is felt

And of course N - A - S are the letters that spell . . .
yea he good but he tends to bore me sometimes for some reason. idk he has a lot of great songs though

Follow me into a solo

Get in the flow - and you can picture like a photo

Music mixed mellow maintains to make

Melodies for MC's motivates the breaks

I'm everlastin, I can go on for days and days

With rhyme displays that engrave deep as X-rays

I can take a phrase that's rarely heard, FLIP IT

Now it's a daily word

I can get iller than 'Nam, a killin bomb

But no alarm - Rakim will remain calm

Self-esteem make me super superb and supreme

But for a microphone still I fiend

This was a tape I wasn't supposed to break

I was supposed to wait, but let's motivate

I want to see who can keep followin and swallowin

Takin the making, bitin it and borrowin

Brothers tried and others died to get the formula

But I'ma let ya sweat - you still ain't warm

You a step away from frozen, stiff as if ya posin

Dig into my brain as the rhyme gets chosen

So follow me and were ya thinkin' you were first?

Let's travel at magnificent speeds around the Universe

What could ya say as the Earth gets further and further away

Planets are small as balls of clay

Astray into the Milky Way - world's outasight

Far as the eye can see - not even a satellite

Now stop and turn around and look

As ya stare in the darkness, ya knowledge is took!

So keep starin soon ya suddenly see a star

You better follow it cause it's the R

This is a lesson if ya guessin and if ya borrowin

Hurry hurry step right up and keep followin

The Leader

yea...had to google that one. have yet to listen to much of rakim or eric b whatever...i know people say he is the best but i just havent really wanted to take a listen. have that song on zshare by the way?

I dunno..some people just dont like hip hop
they are more into the beats than the wack lyrics of these modern day rappers
yea dont get me wrong all the shit u posted was good and im now listenin to follow the leader and im liking it. but then again i didnt start listening to hip hop till like 2 years ago so im still checking everything out.

id just rather listen to AZ, Killah Priest, the roots, Black ELement, Pharaoh Monch

Roots is nice

doesnt matter when you started listening to hip-hop man...you can always research the classics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I started to listen to hip hop alot in '93...although I heard some songs during the 80s on the radio (and beatboxes) it was when I was 12 that I started appreciating the lyrics/rhythm of hip hop

I just downloaded Consequence and Rhymefest's albums. Some pretty good songs. I hate how Rhymefest's "Brand New" ft. Kanye barely got big and after that he was never heard of except occasionally on like MTVU or w/e. And I've been gettin back into Ice Cube and NWA and stuff, that's where it's at //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I find it funny that Lil Wayne really thinks he's the best rapper, when the kids that listen to his music just like the beats lol

lol i know i cant stand lil wayne. this song i like though, but mainly cause of the beat and kanye makes it better. half the songs lil wayne is in he makes no sense.

he's barely ok (compared to these modern day rappers)...but his arrogance pisses me off
yea he is pretty cocky always self-claiming himself the best rapper alive and what not. I mean i would rather listen to him over Hurricane Chris or Lil Boosie or Soulja Boy any day but there are way more worth while Hip Hop artists out there that actually try to convey a/their story through their lyrics rather then just rappin about getting drunk in the club/***/money. i guess Lyrical and best is gauged by how many ringtones u sell these days. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

and yea to the above poster. i've always liked Lupe. His last Album The Cool is one of my favorites. never gets old to me. Although he is now considered mainstream, it still hasnt affected the way he writes his music.
