"The SA-12 was designed to be an excellent sounding subwoofer that is equally at home sealed or ported. We feel that the SA-12 is one of the best woofers available in it's price category and will satisfy the needs of a wide variety of users ranging from bass-heads to audiophiles!"going sealed on sa 12s no

He has stated time and time again the driver is bad sealed and is much much better in ported. Although not many folks buy the SA-10/12 for "SQ" -- they perform quite well in this regard.
Sundown SA-12 Review - DIYMA.com
I really cannot think of anyone off the top of my head that has actually installed an SA-10 sealed. There is no reason for them not to be ran sealed -- just seems everyone wants to port them and beat the block down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
