Logo/Plate ethics, legality

I just finished building this box for a guy who asked me to keep costs down and not to carpet or detail it. I never can let a good thing go without looking good (or at least attempting to make so), so I charge them for the stuff they ask for and pay for and complete labor for free and ask them to show their friends (with more money preferably). Anyway I want to put a nice company nameplate flushed into the front panel since I didn't make any profit- but I know I hate it when a car dealership puts their emblems and mounting holes on stuff before they sell them (Yenco would be OK) so I Incorporated the Mojo's logo nicely above mine to lessen the possible negative customer impression. Now I'm not sure if this is even legal- I'd really like to hear your opinions-I'm just a one horse shop that does engine mods and audio fab and installs (unemployed/ self employed)

LOL I think after this post a lot more people will be telling you to sell them unfinished boxes :p

I think the most "illegal" thing about it is using the Memphis logo, lol; and at that I'm guessing they provide a logo sticker with every sub anyhow. Plus not like they care, it's not being used to defame them or make them look bad.

Also the logo looks like it is screw-on, is that correct? If so, if the customer doesn't like it, they can just remove it. There's nothing "illegal" about it. It looks nice too, if it were my box I'd keep it on there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

PS: Cool shorting bar setup for the 1 or 4 ohms thing.

Thanks, it does screw in, but the image under the Plexiglas glues down and it would all be sunk flush into the front baffle like the woofer is. I purposely tried to make it removable but with effort needed to replace with something so they wont.

He came to pick up his speaker and I showed him the logo plate. He said he would like to have the shop name on his stuff and left his speaker. No great accomplishment but its cool to have someone else take pride in the stuff I like to play with.
