I went by a local shop here in Orlando. I wanted to see what they would charge for an enclosure for a 12" type r. Hey man, which should did you go to? Ultimate Audio quoted me once. They've got some sick installs but like you, they wanted $400 for my 5ft^3 box @34hz...shit for that much I could get a TCAB that could walk all over them. Go to Audio Excellence on West Colonial off New homes rd. or something like that. A memeber from here works there and might be able to knock a few buck off a box.
