Loading up on music, 320kbps MP3 or 192kbps WMA for sound quality? (On Flash Drive)

Lol fair enough. I'll just stick with my high bit-rate mp3s and call it a day.
Yeah, like others have said, if you've already got MP3s, changing from 128CBR to v0 will not change much. If you're ripping CDs and have to use MP3 or WMA, just use the highest variable bitrate possible. Constant bit rate wastes space.

Interesting read but my point was wma vs mp3, not WAV vs MP3. Again, I can't use WAVs on my HU.
My bad. There are other articles like that one that would be helpful, plus a Google search for "wma vs mp3" would probably get you what you want to know. I think WMA can have a lower bitrate than a comparable CBR mp3.

Here's a simple test... Download most any TechN9ne, Dubstep or Pantera and listen for a crunched sound during the bass kicks. It sounds like breaking celery. That distortion you hear is clipping (you can see it in a wave editor). If you hear a crackling sound, that is the distortion that Mp3's cause to audio files. I can actually tune my ear to the sound that Mp3's make and I consider myself partially deaf... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
