List of unregulated power supply amplifiers...

So people who have Honda's in particular choose from amps that will work with the ELD... The unregulated allows Honda owners to play their amps longer without shutting off here and there. Some Honda's with the ELD can't do alternator upgrades because the CPU control the alternator so even if you install a HO alternator its useless.

That's why I thought it would be a good idea to compile a list so people like me can pick and choose .

 
ummmmm...hmm..you do realize that there are literally thousands of unregulated amps out there, as Id say about 98% of amps are. The main ones that are not are like the JL slash series, alpine pdx, rf bdcp

The ELD does not control output amperage of the alternator, i believe it only senses when there is a load on the electrical system and turns the alternator either on or off. Unfortunately it does not detect added accessories like our amplifiers but turning on the headlights or AC will trigger the ELD to let the alternator stay on. Of course that's not the ideal way to get around the ELD as the AC and headlights use amperage, but there are guides out there to wire a permanent load on the ELD.

Clamped my alternator with a VAT40 and its putting out more then rated, so an ELD does not make a HO alt useless

I actually like my ELD, saves me gas when im not bummpin

or you can put an 820 ohm resister between 2 wires that keeps your alt on

 
It would be much simpler to list the few dozen regulated ones and know everything else is unregulated. Going your way ANYTHING with 16 or 18V rating is unregulated. Pretty much everything out of the major buildhouses in Korea, probably everything out of China or Brazil across the board would also be unregulated.

Unregulated power supply is cheaper and IMO inferior (for the purpose of actual music listening) hence 98% of amps are NOT.
